509 homers and a career onbase percentage of .393. Definitely a Hall of Famer.

24th on the HR list? He gets my vote for the HOF. He is better than many in the Hall but is he a first ballot choice?

A first ballot choice, Al Kaline hit .297 with 399 career dingers... They both hit the majors when they were 18. Sheff is .292 and 509 homers.

Some may say they don't compare- but statistically they are similar in my mind.

#6 had the better glove but Sheff gave a better sound bite!
