Series Preview: Tigers @ Braves

BravesLogo.tiffLove it or hate it, interleague play comes to an end this weekend. Before we can bid it adieu for another year, the Tigers must take care of business in Atlanta against a first-place Braves club.

As I write this, I’m green with envy that my podcast cohost Ian Casselberry will be in the stands tonight for the debut of Andy Oliver. Ian will also get an opportunity to see former Tigers infielder Omar Infante at some point but will miss out on the injured Jair Jurrjens and Brent Clevlen, who has spent time with Atlanta’s Triple-A Gwinnett Braves.

The story lines you’ve likely heard from the Braves camp include:

Head to Head

  • Tigers’ all-time record against the Braves: 8-4
  • All-time at home: 2-1
  • All-time at Comerica Park: 2-1
  • All-time at Atlanta: 6-3
