Austin Jackson led off the game with a home run off Brewers starter Doug Davis and Brandon Inge followed suit in the second. In the second inning, Max Scherzer allowed five straight batters to reach base and gave up all three runs. He gave up six hits, a pair of walks and struck out three over his six innings. Inge and Jackson both had two hits.
