Idle Thought: Mile-High Disbelief

As the wounds still heal from Tuesday, I got to thinking as I watched Game 2 of the Rockies and Phillies NLDS series. Remember back in May when a stumbling — i.e., awful — Colorado team visited Comerica Park and took two of three in a weekend series?
I, for one, couldn’t believe that the Tigers lost a series to such a rag-tag club.
Ahem.
Who then would’ve thought that it would be the Rockies that would go on to win 92 games?
That makes it hurts even worse.
