How’s this for uplifting?

• In one-run games, such as today’s 6-5 loss, the Tigers are 12-14.

• In games against A.L. Central opponents, the Tigers are 13-24.

Ugly right? Well, get a load of this:

• When trailing after the eighth inning, the Tigers are 1-40.

In other words:

• They can’t win the close ones.
• They can’t beat division rivals.
• They have no ninth-inning comebacks in them.

Doesn’t bode well for the second half, now does it?
