Are The Good Times Back?

The rain did not spoil a good game last night as the Tigers won their fourth in a row. Armando Galarraga pitched brilliantly over 7 innings. He gave up one run on 3 hits, allowed one walk, and struck out 5. Freddy Dolsi finished up with 2 innings of perfect relief to get his second save. Marcus Thames and Magglio Ordonez and each homered to drive in 3 of the 5 runs scored. Thames’ blast came off Dearborn Edsel Ford High School’s Derek Lowe who took the loss, and Ordonez hit his two run shot off Cory Wade who hit Carlos Guillen right before.
The jawing betwen Wade previously had the beginnings of a bench clearing brawl as Wade started shouting at Guillen, but cooler heads prevailed. We don’t want to see an ugly series between these two teams. Today Eddie Bonine makes his Tiger big-league debut, and hopefully he will continue the string of good pitching we have seen.
