The Gist: Marcus Thames and Magglio Ordonez went deep and Armando Galarraga pitched another superb game and the Tigers have suddenly won four straight. Galarraga threw seven innings of shutout ball allowing just three hits and one walk. He struck out five. You also really gotta appreciate the heart and loyalty shown by Migs being the first out of the dugout ready to rumble after the Carlos HBP.
Like player upon player said in the beginning of the season, “WE’LL BE ALL RIGHT.”

Absolutely. Perhaps they are coming together — assuming they weren’t before. And it’s great to see this team winning close games like Thursdays and tonight’s. Even though the final was five-zip, it was tighter than that through six.
