Willis Sent to Lakeland
By Mike McClary in Featured,Fungoes | 0 comments
Now we know what the Tigers’ plans for Dontrelle Willis are: Lakeland.
Willis had to agree to be sent to the minors, and Tigers president and general manager Dave Dombrowski said he did so with a spirit of wanting to fix his problems.Manager Jim Leyland said a leading candidate to replace Willis in the rotation Satuday against Los Angeles is right-hander Eddie Bonine, who is 9-2 with Triple-A Toledo.
Let’s hope this works.
