Holy Heck!

I know it’s just the Texas Rangers and they came in beaten up after a lost weekend in Fenway, but sakes alive.

Clocking Ticking Louder on Tiger Stadium Decision

While Friend of the Fungo Gary Gillette and the non-profit Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy work feverishly to raise funds to avoid, ahem, razing the ballpark, the City of Detroit’s demolition wheels are in motion.
At the very least, a demolition team is likely to start razing about 75% of the ballpark in May or June, as [...]

Game 21: Home Cooking Tastes Good

ESPN highlights available here.

The Gist: When Ramon Santiago goes yard, that’s gotta be a good sign for the Tigers, right? Game 20: Armando Does It Again

ESPN highlights available here.

The Gist: While he wasn’t as sharp as his Tigers debut in Cleveland last week, Armando Galarraga gave the Tigers another solid outing in the finale at SkyDome — or whatever — 5-1, to earn a split against the Blue Jays. The bullpen was superb though Todd Jones allowed a ninth-inning home [...]

The Gist: The Tigers lost 5-3 to the Toronto Blue Jays Sunday at Rogers Centre. Nate Robertson showed no sign of turning the corner for the Tigers and allowed five runs on eight hits in five innings of work to take the loss. Clete Thomas led the Tigers offense with three [...]
