While Friend of the Fungo Gary Gillette and the non-profit Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy work feverishly to raise funds to avoid, ahem, razing the ballpark, the City of Detroit’s demolition wheels are in motion.

Mystery reliever Francisco Cruceta has been assigned to Toledo.
The club has approximately two weeks to decide whether to put Cruceta on the 25-man big-league roster or to try to get him through waivers so he can stay in the minors.
