Here’s a tidbit for you:
On this date in 1984, the Tigers suffered their first loss of the season after nine consecutive wins. The Tigers fall to the Kansas City Royals and rookie Bret Saberhagen, who earns his first major league victory.
And, on April 19, 2006:
Kenny Rogers improved to 24-4 at the Oakland Coliseum, leading Detroit to an 11-4 victory over the Athletics. Rogers is 22-1 in Oakland since 1995.
