Wanna See Your Tigers? Go to Toronto
By Mike McClary in Fungoes | 4 comments
Just how hot are those Detroit Tigers home-game tickies? Hot enough for the Tigers Ticket Office to send out an email encouraging Tigers fans to head north of the border for a four-gamer in April 18-21.

Actually, it’s an advance-ticket offer, which is darned-good marketing on the Jays’ part.
The Toronto Blue Jays would like to offer you an advance sale of single game tickets for three Detroit Tigers games in Toronto. Tickets will not go on sale to the general public until February 15, so this is your chance to purchase some good seats and cheer on your Tigers!
If the Tigers and Blue Jays were in the same division, Toronto fans could worry about TO becoming to the Tigers what Detroit was to the Indians in the ’90s: a second home ballpark.
Go see the early days of the Scott Rolen Era in Toronto. Given his injury history, it might not last long.

When I got that e-mail, I became excited and started planning a trip in my head. I haven’t been to Toronto in almost 10 years, and thought it was time to break that drought.
Then I looked at the dates. Same weekend as my sister’s wedding.
C’mon!

I’ll be in Toronto for that weekend with my family for the express purpose of seeing Tigers’ ball on Saturday afternoon.
