Well, Nos. 1, 2, and 4 all had career years last year. We really can't expect them to match those, can we?

That means the team's success/failure this year rests squarely on the shoulders of ... Inge and Rodriguez. They both need to have big bounce-back seasons. The good news, of course, is that this is a contract year for Pudge. (Likely his final contract year at that.) If the man wants to get paid this off-season he needs to put up some sick numbers during the season.

Really? Edgar Renteria sixth? I'd rather see him hit ninth and slide everyone else up a peg to allow for more turnover in the lineup and get Granderson more run-producing ABs.

Did anyone check with Pudge to find out if he would be willing to bat that low in the lineup?

Seriously though, we're not really going to head into this season content with THAT as our 7 spot are we? I like Marcus as a fill in from time to time, and I certainly liked him more than Monroe, but I'm really having a hard time with our refusal to address the lack of a power hitting left hander (Haven't we said that each of our last two seasons?).

With the news of the day revolving around a first half sans Zumaya, it seems highly unlikely that they'll address my desire for a lefty and they'll have to go out and get a set up man as well as resigning a closer.

Didn't I tell you I didn't like Zumaya?
