Bonderman’s Start + Timing = Vexing

Let me get this straight, the Tigers had more than a sneaking suspicion that Jeremy Bonderman had a wounded wing, yet, in the thick of a playoff race, they sent him out there to get harpooned by the Mariners?Seriously?Beating a guy when he’s down isn’t fair. I acknowledge that. But for crying out loud, Bonderman has shown virtually no life in the second half. I saw him get torched in Anaheim on a Sunday night in July and he’s been awful ever since. (Come to think of it, I saw him get torched in Anaheim on a Tuesday afternoon in April, too.)Clearly Bonderman, still just 24, remains a work in progress. The question is, how much more time will the Tigers give him to develop?My guess is not much longer.
