Doesn’t Make Up For It, But It Helps

The win today was nice, and Jeremy Bonderman finally had the quality start we were waiting for. He finally got out of the first inning without allowing a run and only allowed 1 run on 6 hits. Bonderman also struck out 3 and walked no one to get his 11th win of the year.
I am just disappointed as everyone else is that the Tigers did not win this series. A sweep would have been nicer since every game is a must have. The Indians also won tonight in the bottom of the 9th inning on a bases loaded walk with two out, so the lead is still 4 1/2, but there is a change in the standings. The Tigers are now 3 back in the A.L. wild card race behind the Yankees. Maybe there is more hope than we thought of getting in the post season, and maybe this win today will give the Tigers some momentum going into Oakland.
