The only hit by a Twins batter at Tiger Stadium that day was a double by Tom Brunansky in the 6th inning with 2 outs. If this is what we can expect from Jair. I demand that the Tigers keep this kid. I'm not saying the one hitter. I'm saying the ground ball pitching. Is it just me or does anyone else think that some of the Tigers pitching woes lately stem from everyone trying to strike guys out instead of pitching to contact? Talk about a breath of fresh air! EVERY GREAT TEAM HAS A GUY LIKE THIS WHO CAN COME IN AND PITCH TO CONTACT. I'm not trying to fluff the guy up to a #1 or #2, but you can't tell me he wouldn't be an excellent #4 or #5.
