Pro-cras-ti-nation … it’s making us wait

The Detroit City Council continued to drag its heels on the Tiger Stadium situation today. In John Gallagher’s Detroit Free Press web story it basically says it’ll discuss Monday and vote on Wednesday of next week.

As one savy commenter noted on the Freep site, “by the time the council decides what to do, it’ll crumble and fall … which is what they’re hoping happens anyway so they won’t be the bad guys.”

I go round and round on this. The trouble, of course, is in today’s Michigan economy to find someone willing to develop on this site has to be next to impossible — whether there’s a stadium there or not.
