What Did I Expect?

We Tigers fans know all-too-well the baggage that accompanies Dmitri Young. And by the looks of him in those abysmal Nationals uniforms, it’s still situated around his midsection. Ahem.

You knew that he’d be asked about facing his former team in the three-game set in D.C. this week. But how would he answer that?
Like this: “I could care less (sic). Just another three-game series.”
Typical Dmitri. He could have taken the high road and said something like:
“I’ll always appreciate the Tigers standing by me when I was going through some rough times in my personal life. But now I’m with the Nationals and focused on helping them win baseball games.”
Yes, I know that’s asking a lot. And, yes, I realize Young’s divorce from the Tigers was anything but amicable. Still, you’d like to think he’d show a morsel of gratitude.
Guess I’m delusional.
