Vote early and often* for Polanco

While I can’t make a case for Brandon Inge over Alex Rodriguez in the All-Star balloting, we can certainly make one for Placido Polanco over anyone else on the ballot as the American League starting second baseman.
Robinson Cano? Nope. Mark Grudzielanek? Please.

Time to get out the vote for all Tigers on the All Star Ballot (Craig Monroe notwithstanding, of course) but particularly #14.
Vote Placido.
Then do it again.
With any luck, he’ll be in the starting lineup at AT&T Park for Jim Leyland’s American League All Stars.
*According to the online ballot: “Vote a maximum of 25 times. Voting ends at 11:59 PM ET on Thursday, June 28, 2007.”

I think it’s hard to pick Polanco over Upton based on merit- at least at this point.
Sadly though, it will probably end up being Cano.
