Too early to worry

Yes, Chad Durbin looked abysmal on Monday. Yes, Brandon Inge is still hitless. And, yes, Craig Monroe looks lost at the dish.

So what? Last year’s team won five of its first six, but it also dropped to 5-5 before starting to take off.

Except for Durbin’s performance and some memorably forgettable outings but Fernando Rodney and Jose Mesa, the pitching has been sound and good enough to win.

The Tigers should still take two of three from the Orioles and head to Toronto for a climate-controlled series.
