Great! Another season of:
- hearing Jim constantly blab over Dan’s play-by-play
- hearing Jim refer to himself as part of the Tigers ownership (“when we took over back in ’92″)
- being reminded that Jim is a friend of Al Kaline’s
- unbearable references to how the catcher is the smartest guy on the field
- hearing Jim crucify players’ names (“Vaz-kez” becomes “Vaz-kwez”)
- incomprehensible play by play for innings 4 and 5
I’ve got to wonder what kind of dirt Jim Price has on Mike Illitch that he hasn’t been fired years ago.

I couldn’t agree more. Every year, waiting for the first spring broadcast, and then hearing Price’s voice, my stomach hits the floor. Damn, he wasn’t fired again!!! Another year of being talked to like a 3-year-old by him. For radio only broadcasts, when I can, I listen to the opposing team broadcast on MLB audio. Do most fans realize how bad of a broadcaster he is? Bring back Sorensen, problems and all.
