Nate Robertson Buys into The-World-is-Flat Approach to Blogging

It came as no surprise to me that Nate Robertson‘s blog, Gum Time, is, ahem, generated by the lefty himself. Nor was I surprised to learn in today’s Free Press that Nate has someone else do the keyboard management.

Here’s the gist from the Freep story:

Robertson doesn’t actually write the blog. He dictates it, and someone at MLBlogs posts it.

“They’re all my words,” he said this past week. “It’s just that someone else types it.”

Readers of this humble blog know that I’m a huge Nate fan and this sentence will not be followed by one beginning with the word “but.”

Instead, I’m here to praise #29 for his new-economy, The-World-Is-Flat, focus-on-the-core-competency mindset.

(As a freelance writer, I’m able to spin a stunning web of gobbledygook like nobody’s business. If this entry were one of my day-job, income-producing projects, I’d substitute “mindset” for “next-generation methodology.”)

Is this microphone on…?
