Face of the Franchise?
By Doug Hill in Fungoes | 2 comments
Regular Daily Fungo and Detroit Tiger Podcast participant Josh Wallen has long championed Brandon Inge as not only the face of the Detroit Tigers, but also the entire Detroit sports scene.
Based upon the schedule card I received from a student earlier this week, the Tigers would like to go in a different direction. (Or maybe they just had a better photo of Curtis Granderson than B-Inge?)
Even inside, the photos are devoid of everyone’s favorite third sacker. There is a rather corny shot of Carlos Guillen and a young fan and Joel Zumaya in mid-delivery. The other shots are of the mass celebration after Magglio Ordonez‘s walk-off blast to clinch the AL Pennant.

BLASPHEMY!!!
Before I cancel my season tix for the Inge snub, I must calm myself down and realize that there’s at least 10 million schedules that come out over the course of the season, I’m sure my man love will be addressed in a future instalment.
If not, the fire Dombrowski campaign starts at my doorstep!
Keep up the great work Doug, Ian, and Mike… hopefully I’ve only been snubbed from the blog, and my lyrical stylings will be heard again on future episodes of the podcast once we kick it into full gear.

Not to worry Josh. I’m sure the audio souffle you serve up on a regular basis will be well represented this season.
Did you say season tix? You know we don’t live that far apart?
